CELEBRATING OUR STUDENTS
This Fortnight's Awards
Perseverance
Each fortnight we focus on one of our school values: Respect, Fairness, Generosity, Inspiration, Perseverance. We model and look for opportunties to teach our students values which underpin the way we believe we should live and interact with others and with our world.
Perseverance is shown when we don't give up. It is persistence and tenacity, the effort required to do something and keep doing it till the end, even if it's hard.
Jesus is a great model of persistence; he never gave up on anyone, even if they did the wrong thing. He worked hard to show many people that what he was saying could help them be better people.
This is the value of Freeman House named after Cathy Freeman.
Cathy inspired and continues to inspire us all with her never give up attitude and amazing efforts with her running.
