A Window Into Learning At Columba
Thank you to families and students who attended the Bunyip ANZAC Day service. There was a small group of children who wore their uniforms and represented Columba. A wreath was laid on behalf of our school at the cenotaph on the main street.
On Tuesday 23rd of April the grade two, five, and six students attended the Space Incursion. A large dome took over Mr. Miglas' classroom for the day. Students walked in and could lie on the floor to look up at the night sky illuminated on the dome roof. The pop-up planetarium provided valuable insight into our solar system and planetary neighbours. This incursion accompanies the space inquiry units of these grades for this term. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
Division Athletics Achievements
On Tuesday the 30th of April we had students represent Columba Catholic School at the West Gippsland Primary Aths Carnival Division level.
We walked away with phenomenal achievements from all students, with some moving on to the Gippsland Regional Aths Carnival next month. With top placings and some record PBs, it was a fantastic day.
A big congratulations to our Columba students for representing our school. You all should be incredibly proud of your achievements. Well done.
