Camps and Excursions

At Columba we believe the opportunities arising from an experience such as excursions and camp, further contribute to the overall development of each child.

Excursions are planned to complement the learning within the classroom and may include experiences such as Scienceworks, Melbourne Museum, Moonlit Sanctuary etc. Excursions also include exploring our local area with walking visits to the local businesses and services including community landmarks such as the Bunyip cenotaph for ANZAC day and Remembrance day services.

The camp programs offered, aim to reinforce the concepts of relationship building, teamwork and resilience. The challenging and stimulating experiences provided, take the children beyond the classroom and foster independence and self-confidence.

The location of our Grade 4 and 5/6 camps are outlined below.

The grade 4 camp is a 1 night camp, always in Term 4. This allows our grade 4 students time to grow a little more confidence before staying away from home.

The cost of camps is incorporated in the student's school fees. More information on camps will be distributed to families when your child is in grades 4 and 5/6.
